Food, Inc. - You'll never look at dinner the same way again

Food, Inc. - You'll never look at dinner the same way again
Food, Inc. exposes America's industrialized food system and its effect on our environment, health, economy and workers' rights. See this incredible film, learn about these issues and take action. And just because it is an American film, don't think it can't happen in Australia because fast food is driving the Australian agricultural scene also.

Documentary filmmaker Robert Kenner examines how mammoth corporations have taken over all aspects of the food chain in the United States, from the farms where our food is grown to the chain restaurants and supermarkets where it's sold. Narrated by author and activist Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), the film features interviews, commentary from food experts like Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma) and unsettling footage shot inside large-scale animal processing plants.

The film reveals how a handful of US corporations control the nation's food supply. Though the compaines try to maintain the myth that food still comes from farms with red barns and white picket fences, food is actually raised on massive "factory farms" and processed in mega industrial plants.

It reveals surprising - and often shocking - truths about what Americans eat, how it's produced, who they have become as a nation, and where they are headed.

There is much food for thought as to how similar things may also be happening here.
